In-line with Granite
Type of stone: Caesarstone | natural stone
Applied to: Kitchen, bathrooms, special works
Natural granite which has undergone hydro processing, as selected by Arch. Pitsou Kedem, for a private domicile that he designed, that passes as a linear element through all three floors of the structure and that serves as the building's core. The stone, which is very nearly in in its natural state, creates a spectacular presence and a dialog that both differs from and harmonizes with with each of the raw materials that have further been added within and without the space - trees, water, wood and metals, all washed in considerable amounts of natural light.
Each floor of the project has a different purpose, and in each floor other materials express themselves in new interpretations of the same stone. The house, close to the ground, is characterized by a minimalist casting of materials that allows each material to fully and entirely express itself, without interference. The said hydro-processed granite stone serves as one of the building’s outstanding architectural elements: in this process, water is sprayed towards the surface of the stone at exceedingly high pressure.
This process granulates the surface area, emphasizes the veins and creates a variety of different stone reliefs and embossments – it's spectacular. The surfaces are at a precise thickness of 13 mm | a core cladding of the house in granite, from the basement up through 3 floors, accompanying every staircase and emphasizing the functionalities prevailing in the building. The kitchen - concrete-like, matte-finished Caesarstone | a core cladding of the house in granite, from the basement up through 3 floors, accompanying every staircase and emphasizing the functionalities prevailing in the building.
